21st August, 2015: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) has officially launched its premium middleweight sports tourer, Honda CBR 650F today in a glittering event at Honda Revfest that held in 8 Indian cities simultaneously. It is the highest displacement motorcycle ever to be assembled in the country and is a step towards “Make in India” initiative. Designed and powered as a supersport, it can also be used as a tourer due to the incorporation of 649cc, DOHC, 4-cylinder engine with PGM-FI technology. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that enjoys healthy torque in low-to-mid rpm range, specifically below 4,000rpm. The bike has been priced at Rs. 7.3 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs. 7.6 lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and it will compete against Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Hyosung GT650R. The bike will be available in the following four attractive colors: Red, Candy Blue, Matte Black and Metallic Black
